There was a time when meaningful employment didn’t require a resume. Factory workers across America raised families based on skills. Adapt this mindset from blue collar to white collar work, and we open a world of possibilities to underserved job seekers and an entirely new talent pool.
This is the message that our CEO Jacob Hsu will deliver at SXSW in his talk Kill the Resume to Bring Back the Middle Class, March 10 from 3:30-4:30pm on the Job Market Stage at the Palmer Events Center.
With the emergence of advanced analytics capabilities, companies can now use AI and big data to overhaul today’s hiring models, increase diversity and create a new middle class for the knowledge economy. Jacob will pull examples from multiple companies, including Catalyte, to show that resumes are poor predictors of employee success and how moving to a skill-based hiring model will benefit employees and employers alike.
If you’re going to SXSW and would like to meet with Jacob, please let us know.
